Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
3/4 c. milk
2 c. frozen coconut
Preparation

Prepare cake mix.
Use 13 x 9-inch pan.
Cool 15 minutes, then poke holes in it with a fork.
While cake is cooling, combine milk, sugar and 1/2 cup coconut.
Bring to boil, then simmer 1 minute. Carefully spoon over warm cake.
Fold 1/2 cup coconut into Cool Whip.
Spread on cake.
Sprinkle on rest of coconut.
Keep refrigerated.
