Yakitori - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. dry sherry or white wine
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 lb. chicken, skinned and boned
    green leeks or green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    Make Yakitori by alternating chicken with leeks on 8-inch bamboo skewers.
    Makes 24 skewers.
    Cook under a broiler for 8 minutes, brushing frequently with sauce. Serve on a bed of rice with sauce.
    Serves 4.
