Corn Lightbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cornmeal
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening, melted
    3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and mix well.
    Spoon into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
    Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
    Yield: 12 to 15 servings.
