Old Fashioned Plain Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    3 eggs
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 c. scalded milk
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat eggs until bubbly.
    Add sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Add 3 tablespoons to egg mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add this to remainder of milk.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake for 10 minutes in a 450\u00b0 oven.
    After 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 20 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
    Remove from oven.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Allow pie to cool before cutting.
    Serves 6.
