Country Style Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cubed steaks
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Mix
    flour,
    salt
    and\tpepper.
    Dip steaks in mixture. Heat oil
    in
    large
    skillet
    or iron frying pan; brown steaks quickly. Remove
    steaks
    from pan and remove all but 2 tablespoons of oil.
    Add
    2 to 3 tablespoons flour and brown.
    Add approximately 2 cups cold water slowly.
    Cook until smooth and slightly
    thick. Return
    steaks
    to\tgravy.\tAdd
    the onions; cover and cook slowly for 45 minutes.
