Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sour milk
3/4 c. berries
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Sift together remaining ingredients.
Add sour milk alternately with flour mixture, beating after each addition.
Gently fold in berries.
Pour into 2 (9-inch) round cake pans that have been prepared with wax paper on the bottom of pans and greased and floured around sides.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until done.
