Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (No. 2) can tomatoes (2 1/2 c.)
2 slices onion
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. enriched flour
2 c. milk
Preparation

Combine tomatoes, onion and seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes. Strain.
Make white sauce of the butter, flour and milk.
Just before serving, slowly add hot, strained tomatoes to white sauce, stirring constantly. Do not reheat.
Makes 6 servings.
