Sweet Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium sweet potatoes
    4 medium apples
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. warm water
    honey to taste
    1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cook potatoes; cool, peel and cut in 1-inch thick slices.
    Pare and core apples and slice into 1/2-inch rings.
    Arrange potatoes and apples in alternating layers in greased baking dish.
    Mix honey, salt and cinnamon; sprinkle part of mixture and lemon juice over each layer.
    Dot with butter and water.
    Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Remove cover; cool about 10 minutes.
    Yields 6 portions.
