Everlasting Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 small onion
    1 carrot
    1 stalk celery
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. cooking oil
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Shred cabbage finely; chop onion.
    Grate carrot and celery. Add sugar and set aside.
    In saucepan, put vinegar, oil, mustard, celery seed and salt.
    Stir to a full boil.
    Pour boiling liquid over top of dry ingredients and let set for 24 hours.
    Excellent and keeps very well.
