Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt (level)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    hot bacon grease (3 to 4 Tbsp.)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 435\u00b0.
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add buttermilk and mix well.
    Add egg and stir.
    Add hot grease; stir and pour into hot skillet where grease was heated.
    Bake for 20 minutes and test with fork.
    (Uncooked mixture should be thick; decrease buttermilk, if necessary.)
