"Idiot Proof" Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. white sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 stick real butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped coarsely
Preparation

Mix sugars and milk together in large heavy boiler or Dutch oven.
Cook together until mixture boils, stirring constantly. Add butter, vanilla and pecans and cook to 240\u00b0 or the soft ball stage.
Remove from heat and beat mixture with a spoon until thickened.
Spoon onto wax paper.
Let cool, then flip.
