Carmel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Brown 1/2 cup of the sugar in a small skillet.
Do not let it burn, just let it turn to caramel.
Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, flour, milk and well beaten egg yolks.
Cook over hot water, then add caramel syrup to mixture.
Cook until thick, add butter and vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
When slighly cool, cover with meringue made from 3 egg whites beaten until foamy, then beaten again with 3 Tbsp.
of sugar, added a little at a time, beaten well after each addition.
Beat until meringue is standing in peaks.
Cover the pie right to crust, making sure the meringue touches the crust and there are no gaps anywhere.
Bake in 350\u00b0oven until nicely brown.
