Flaky Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 to 1/4 c. ice water
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Chill all ingredients thoroughly before use and flour.\tCut in shortening; mix well.
    Dissolve salt in ice water; add to flour mixture.
    Mix long enough to wet flour; do not overmix.
    Roll out the pie dough as few strokes as possible.
    The top piece should be slightly thinner than the bottom.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 to 450\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Yields 2 (8-inch) pie crusts.
