Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. grated onion
1/2 to 1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 egg

Preparation

Sift meal, flour and salt together.
Add baking powder, eggs and onion.
Add milk, then drop from teaspoon into medium hot 275\u00b0 fat; fry until golden brown.
