Posse Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef or turkey
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
    1 (15 oz.) can chili beans, undrained
    1 (4 oz.) can diced green chillies, undrained
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can hominy, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can whole corn, drained
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch (optional)
    1/4 c. water (optional)
Preparation
    In a skillet, brown ground meat and onion; drain. Stir in tomatoes, beans, chillies, hominy and corn.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    For a thicker stew, combine cornstarch and water, then stir into stew.
    Cook and stir until thickened.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
