Fran'S Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. stew beef
    1 medium or large head cabbage, diced
    1 can clear beef broth
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1 medium sweet onion, diced
    2 qt. tomatoes (can or fresh)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook beef until tender; drain.
    Place cabbage, celery, onion and beef in large stew pot; mix well and add approximately 2 quarts of tomatoes and juice, salt, pepper and sugar.
    Cook until cabbage is tender (approximately 45 minutes).
