Caramel Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
2 Tbsp. water
dash of salt
crisp apples
chopped walnuts
Preparation

Melt caramels with water in top of double boiler. Stir frequently until mixture is smooth. Add dash of salt. Stick wooden skewers into blossom end of unpared, crisp apples.
Dip apples in caramel syrup and turn until coated on bottom half of apple. If syrup is too thick, add a few drops of water. At once roll bottoms of coated apples in chopped walnuts. Set on cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Chill until coating is firm.
