Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 can (2 c.) fruit cocktail (including juice)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add egg, fruit cocktail and vanilla and mix well.
    Spread in a greased 9 x 12-inch pan. Sprinkle with 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup broken nut meats. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
