Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. liquid shortening
4 eggs
3 c. shredded raw carrot
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda and cinnamon together.
Mix shortening with eggs and add to dry ingredients with raw carrot. Pour into a 9 x 9-inch or 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve plain or with orange icing.
