Hash Brown Supremes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash browns
    1 1/2 sticks melted butter (oleo)
    1 c. chopped onion (optional)
    8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    garlic salt to taste
    2 cans cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    1 pt. sour cream
    2 c. crushed corn flakes or crumbs
Preparation
    Mix melted butter and corn flake crumbs.
    Mix together all ingredients, except 3/4 of melted butter and crumbs.
    Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Put 3/4 butter/crumb mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
    May be prepared 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
