Grandmother'S Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
4 tsp. sugar
1 c. corn meal
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
4 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together; add beaten egg and milk to make a stiff batter.
Beat until well mixed.
Pour into greased pan and bake for 15 minutes at 425\u00b0.
Brush top with melted butter.
Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer.
Serve while hot.
