Picante Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 c. chopped tomatoes
4 c. chopped onions
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. white vinegar
1 to 1 1/2 c. chopped hot peppers
1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/3 c. pickling salt
2 tsp. black or white pepper
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. alum
Preparation

Cook on top of the stove 1 1/2 hours.
Seal in hot sterilized jars.
