Deep Fried Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. powdered sugar
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    1 1/2 oz. butter
    3 Tbsp. brandy
    1 Tbsp. water
    oil
    icing (confectioners sugar)
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and lemon rind.
    Gently cut in the butter.
    Add brandy and water; mix in with minimum of kneading. Wrap up in foil and refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours.
    Roll out thinly; cut in 2-inch squares and place on a floured tray.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Deep fry in hot oil.
    Drain; dust with icing sugar.
    Serve hot or cold.
