Modern Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain meal
    1 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    1/2 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Grease loaf pans.
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven. Bake in 2 regular loaf pans. Mix all dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl; add milk, then egg, last shortening.
    Divide in 2 pans.
    Check your oven for timing.
    Let cook to light brown.
