Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel green tomatoes
    1/2 bushel sweet peppers, green and red
    6 lb. cabbage
    4 lb. onions
    1/2 c. salt
    3 or 4 pods hot peppers
    4 Tbsp. mixed pickle spice (in bag)
    5 lb. sugar
    1 1/2 gal. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind sweet peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and onions.
    Squeeze free of water.
    Mix sugar and vinegar in large pan.
    Add salt and spice bag.
    Bring to a boil and add ground mixture; grind hot pepper and add.
    Cook until well done.
    Pack in hot jars and seal at once.
    Yields 25 pints.
