Mrs. Abe Lincoln'S Mystery Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 1/4 c. hot water
Preparation
    Sift first 4 ingredients together; then stir in next 4 ingredients.
    Spread resulting batter in an 8-inch square buttered tin.
    Mix brown sugar and cocoa; spread over batter in pan.
    Over all, pour 1 1/2 cups hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
