Fudge "Skillet" Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chocolate syrup
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Spoon topping evenly over top of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
    To remove from skillet, loosen cake and icing from sides if necessary and turn out onto serving plate.
    Scrape remaining icing from skillet.
    Spread on cake.
    Serve with ice cream.
