Scallop'S Veronique - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 lb. fresh scallops
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1/3 c. mayonnaise
    1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained or 3 oz. fresh
    1/2 c. halved, seedless green grapes
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter over medium heat until tender.
    Add scallops.
    Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    Combine cornstarch and sherry in a cup.
    Add to scallop mixture.
    Cook, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
    Stir in mayonnaise, mushrooms, grapes and pepper.
    Spoon mixture into 4 individual ovenproof dishes. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
    Broil 5 inches from heat, 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
