Corn Pones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. stone ground yellow corn meal
    bacon drippings
    1 tsp. salt
    boiling water
Preparation
    Grease the skillet well with drippings or pork rind.
    Mix corn meal and salt in bowl.
    Pour in cup of boiling water and stir. Add more boiling water, 1/4 cup at a time, until you have a stiff dough that can be shaped with the hands.
    Bake in prepared skillet at 400\u00b0 until golden.
    Serves 6.
