Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    2/3 c. hot water
    1/2 c. seedless raisins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 3/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In saucepan, combine raisins, molasses and hot water.
    Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes.
    Let cool to room temperature.
    In a separate bowl, sift remaining ingredients together.
    Stir into cooled molasses mixture until smooth.
    Spray an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan with nonstick spray or use nonstick pan.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
    Cool and serve.
