    1/4 c. salad oil
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 large onion, diced
    1 large celery stalk, diced
    1 medium green pepper, diced
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen whole okra
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen whole kernel corn
3 c. coarsely chopped cooked turkey
Preparation
About 1 hour before serving, in 12-inch skillet over medium heat into hot salad oil, stir flour; cook, stirring constantly, until flour is dark brown but not burned.
Add onion, celery and green pepper; cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Gradually stir in tomatoes with their liquid, sugar, salt and hot pepper sauce until blended, stirring to break up tomatoes, over high heat; heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
