Mocha Almond Parfaits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. coffee ice cream, softened
    1 (2 1/4 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds
    3 (7/8 oz.) English toffee candy bars
    1/2 c. chocolate syrup
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
    8 maraschino cherries (with stems)
Preparation
    Spoon 1/4 cup ice cream into each of 8 (4 ounce) chilled parfait glasses.
    Freeze 30 minutes.
    Toast and chop almonds. Crush toffee bars.
    Layer 1/2 tablespoon each of almonds, candy and chocolate syrup.
    Repeat layers of ice cream, almonds, candy and chocolate.
    Cover and freeze until firm.
    Garnish each parfait with whipped cream and a cherry.
    Yields 8 parfaits.
