Warm Apple Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large tart apples or 4 small
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
melted butter
1 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Slice apples thin and spread in a well-greased 8-inch pan. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and melted butter.
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
Add shortening and milk; beat 2 minutes.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat again for 2 minutes.
Spread over apple mixture.
Bake in moderately hot oven at 375\u00b0 for about 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve warm with pudding sauce or cream.
Yields 6 servings.
