Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Stir flour and baking powder together.
    Melt butter and brown sugar over low heat.
    Stir in slightly beaten egg; blend in dry ingredients, mixing well.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Bake in
    a greased and floured 8-inch square pan in a slow oven (300\u00b0) for 25 to 35 minutes.
    Cut while warm.
