Texas Beef Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans
    3/4 c. quick-cooking rice
    3/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    3/4 c. shredded sharp American cheese (3 oz.)
    1 clove garlic, mashed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    15 oz. can kidney beans, drained
    6 oz. can tomato paste
    8 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine garlic with salt.
    Saute onion in oil for 5 minutes. Add garlic, salt and ground beef.
    Cook 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.
    Serves 4.
