Mushroom-Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 oz. onions, chopped
    3 1/2 oz. celery, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/2 oz. barley
    2 qt. chicken stock
    13 oz. fresh mushrooms, sauteed in 1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Saute onions, celery and garlic in butter until tender.
    Add dry barley and saute 10 more minutes until barley gets thick. Add chicken stock and mushrooms. Boil and simmer until barley is tender, about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Serves 6.
