Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
    3 qt. popcorn
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients to soft ball stage.
    Stir to prevent burning.
    Add syrup, butter, salt and vanilla.
    Stir only to mix. Pour slowly over
    popcorn.
    Mix well.
    Form into balls, carefully with hands, pressing only to hold together.
    Makes 10 balls, 3 inches in diameter.
