Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. bacon fat
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Wash tomatoes and slice.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
    Heat the bacon fat in a frying pan.
    When the bacon fat is hot, add the tomatoes and brown on both sides.
    As the tomato slices are done, remove to a serving platter.
    Sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter.
