Old Fashioned Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine sugar, milk, salt, chocolate and corn syrup in saucepan.
Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Cook slowly to soft ball stage (228\u00b0).
Stir frequently.
Remove from heat.
Add butter; cool mixture to 110\u00b0 or lukewarm.
Beat in vanilla and walnuts on high for 3 minutes or until mixture is no longer shiny.
Pour into a buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cool. Cut in squares.
Makes 4 dozen pieces.
