Vanilla Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 stick butter
Preparation

Combine sugar and milk in 3-quart saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture forms soft ball when dropped into cold water or 236\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
Add vanilla, pecans and butter.
Place pan in cold water in sink; stir constantly until mixture thickens and loses its shiny appearance. Pour into buttered pan; cut when cool.
