Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (partly bacon drippings)
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. molasses (preferably sorghum)
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
-
Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, molasses and sour milk.
Add soda and spices to flour and add to first mixture.
Pour into two (7 x 11-inch) pans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
