Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. popped popcorn
    1 c. peanuts
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix popcorn and peanuts in a large bowl.
    In a medium saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt over low heat until butter melts.
    Cook without stirring for 3 minutes.
    Add baking soda and vanilla; remove from heat.
    Stir until mixed then pour over popcorn.
    Mix until evenly coated.
    Bake 15 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
