Dominican Republic Arroz Con Leche (Milk And Rice Custard) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw rice
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 gal. whole milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. seedless raisins
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix rice with water and let stand at room temperature for 2 hours.
    Drain and discard water.
