No-Sag Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. water
6 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
Preparation

Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water; stir to mix well, then while stirring, add 1/2 cup boiling water.
Cook until clear, stirring constantly.
Set aside to cool.
When cool, beat egg whites until thick.
Gradually add sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla.
Beat until fluffy.
Turn mixer to low and fold in cornstarch mixture; when mixed, turn speed to high and beat until it stands in peaks.
Spread meringue over pie; be sure your meringue touches your crust all the way around.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
(This meringue will not sag, nor will it shrink.
It's also easy to cut.)
