Molly'S Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 slices white bread, buttered
    6 eggs, well beaten
    8 slices Cheddar cheese
    1 qt. milk
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Trim bread crusts.
    Butter each slice.
    Arrange 8 slices of bread, buttered sides down, in bottom of well-buttered baking dish (9 x 13-inch).
    Cover with cheese.
    Top with remaining slices of bread.
    Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
