Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    1 or 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked shell
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and sugar. Bring milk to boil and add to dry ingredients, stirring constantly. Cook this in a double boiler, stirring until thick, about 15 minutes. Add egg yolks and butter; cook 2 minutes longer. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell; cover with meringue or Cool Whip (your preference).
