Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. coconut
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Cool 15 minutes.
    Then poke holes down through cake with large fork.
    Meanwhile, combine milk, sugar and 1 cup coconut in saucepan and bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Carefully spoon over warm cake, pushing coconut into holes. Allow liquid to soak in holes.
    Cool completely.
