Congo Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2/3 c. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
3 eggs
1 box brown sugar
1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Melt margarine and mix with brown sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat; add vanilla.
Add flour gradually, mixing well (batter is stiff).
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cool and cut.
