Fowler Special Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 lb. butter
    4 eggs
    1 c. water
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. almond flavoring
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 lb. each: candied cherries and pineapple
    1/4 lb. citron and blanched almonds
    1/4 lb. each: orange and lemon peel
    1 lb. pecans
    1 pkg. raisins
    1 Tbsp. each: cloves, cinnamon and allspice
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light.
    Add water and well beaten eggs.
    Add flour and other dry ingredients.
    Mix well and add all remaining ingredients, except fruits and nuts.
    Cut all fruits and nuts in small pieces, except almonds (add those whole).
    Bake in 3 layers.
