Steamed Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head cabbage
1 onion, diced
2 medium green tomatoes
2 ripe tomatoes
1 green pepper
1/3 c. Crisco shortening
bacon drippings
Preparation

Wash tomatoes, onion and green pepper.
Dice onion and green pepper.
Cut tomatoes in quarters.
Add Crisco and bacon drippings.
Add a little salt and a little crushed red pepper. Let these ingredients cook until done.
Then add cabbage.
Let cook for 20 minutes.
Turn off.
Keep lid on until ready to serve.
